As a QA Engineer at Freedx, you will be instrumental in ensuring the stability and reliability of our high-performance trading systems. You’ll work on critical infrastructure that handles real-time market data and executes trades across global crypto markets. Your responsibilities will include:

• Testing the complete order lifecycle, including placement, cancellation, partial fills, slippage, and critical risk checks.
• Validating the behavior of sophisticated market-making and hedging logic under diverse real-market conditions.
• Conducting thorough testing of exchange integrations (REST & WebSocket) for balances, positions, trades, orderbook data, and latency.
• Verifying the accuracy of PnL, margin, and exposure calculations across both spot and derivatives markets.
• Testing internal services such as the Order Management System (OMS), Matching Engine, Risk Engine, and Hedge Engine, along with monitoring and alerting pipelines.
• Working extensively with logs, metrics, and real-time data streams to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and detailed QA documentation.
• Reproducing complex edge-cases, including mismatched WebSocket updates, delayed fills, funding spikes, and stale data conditions.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical QA Engineer with a deep understanding of trading systems. Ideal candidates will possess:

• 2–4+ years of dedicated QA experience, encompassing both manual and/or automation testing.
• Strong proficiency in API testing methodologies, particularly with REST and WebSocket protocols.
• Proven ability to analyze intricate logs, trace complex order flows, and debug data inconsistencies efficiently.
• Solid foundational knowledge of cryptocurrency trading basics, including various order types, orderbook dynamics, spreads, fills, and Profit & Loss (PnL) calculations.
• Fluency in Russian is an absolute requirement for this role, facilitating critical team communication.
• Working proficiency in English, enabling seamless cross-team collaboration.
• Bonus points for: Hands-on experience with crypto exchanges, advanced trading systems, or algorithmic trading setups.
• Additional advantages include: Experience with Python test automation (e.g., pytest), load testing tools (e.g., k6/Locust), familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, .NET (C#), and PostgreSQL.
